The new degree partnership allows graduates who complete their associate of applied science degrees at 中央社区学院 to transfer all of their completed academic credits to 韦恩州立 to earn a bachelor’s degree in technology. The agreement allows WSC to accept up to 80 credit hours for the 120-credit hour program.

“This agreement is an outstanding opportunity for our CCC alumni throughout our 25-county service area to get full credit for their associate degree from CCC and up to a third year of additional hours they may have picked up at CCC or other colleges,CCC主席Dr. Matt Gotschall(右图). “Current students will benefit from this program as well, especially since students should be able to complete their bachelor’s degree in technology while working and living in their CCC area community.”

CCC and WSC will collaborate on recruitment, 建议, and retention efforts that are mutually beneficial to both institutions. To assist prospective transfer students enrolled in the program with their academic planning, students from CCC are strongly encouraged to work with an academic advisor at WSC and an academic advisor at CCC. 学生 transferring from CCC must meet WSC’s admission standards and will have the opportunity to apply for WSC transfer student scholarships.

“I am really encouraged by this partnership,” said 韦恩州立大学校长. 玛丽兹·拉姆斯(图左). “I think it truly does show real collaboration and real partnership between Central, 韦恩州立, our business communities in putting students on the right path. 最重要的是, it’s a real win for the business community because keeps those students in (CCC’s area) working with their employers and fine tuning their skills to become an even more significant part of the organization in the future.”

The agreement between WSC and CCC will be effective for five years and administrators from both institutions will meet annually to review it.
